Overall, this is a nice property that seemed clean with comfortable beds and a short drive to the convention center. Bedrooms were equipped with white noise machines, though the noise level wasn't bad. As with probably any property in the neighborhood, the building is a bit older, so expect some squeaky floorboards. There were a few small issues that added up to deducting one star:
- Check-in was a bit rough, as the communication on how to get into the house was unclear (apparently need to use back door). The owner didn't respond to a message, so I had to call them to resolve, though they were friendly and helpful on the phone. Sounds like they changed their locks and didn't update their contact template to reflect the new instructions.
- Contacted owner about ceiling fan that wasn't working. Text-based messages weren't communicating well, so had to call again. Owner said they'd come take a look at it while we were out and let us know the fix, but they never did, as far as I know.
- Bedroom window blinds didn't block light very well at all, so it was hard to sleep past sunrise. No curtains.
- Upstairs shower had no soap/shampoo (not a big deal, could use my own).
