My family of 3 stayed in this beautiful property for 2 weeks in June. The property is managed by VanEngelenburg, not the property owner, and we worked with a wonderful woman, Daily. While I gave this property 5 stars and if we were to return to Curacao would most definitely want to stay in this home again, there were some small issues during our stay. Upon arrival we found very tiny ants in the pantry cabinet and along the door of the refrigerator, the main light in the primary bathroom was broken, the instructions to turn on the AC units in the bedroom was missing a very important detail in order for them to be turned on, the outside palapa lighting didn't work. I reached out to Daily who provided ant traps, had a service person come to remove the light in the primary bathroom and install a temporary fixture with a single bulb as well as removing the broken fixture in the palapa, but as this fixture was not replaced, we were not able to sit out there in the evening. Regarding the AC, I called the first evening and was instructed to push a black button on the bedroom wall first, and then use the AC remote to turn the AC on. The team at VanEngelenburg was very responsive and resolved the issues timely, however these were all annoyances that could have been prevented had they properly inspected the home prior to our arrival. As an owner of a vacation rental myself, I am sensitive to this as I spent my precious vacation time having to chase these fixes and making accommodations for service personnel to be in the property during our vacation. Aside from that, the home was perfect for our family. The views are exceptional, the pool was refreshing and had just been redone, and the beds were comfortable. We kept all of the louvered doors along the sea-side of the house open all day long with the front door closed but louvers open to get the cross breeze, and NO BUGS! The indoor-outdoor living was wonderful, and the breezes were glorious. The community was nice and we enjoyed dining in the 2 main restaurants.
