The positives: Close to beach - 2 minute walk The interior of the apartment was new Beach chairs and umbrellas included Short walk to downtown restaurants and bars The negatives: The room had zero view. It was a roof of an adjacent house, no Gulf views at all. The room was right above the gym, so very loud No on-site eating options, just coffee and tea Staff did not want to accomodate a room change

Important Heads Up
My family and I spent 3 nights at this location, and there was a major flaw that terribly affected my stay from the first night. A loud and strong sound coming from behind the bedroom walls. I thought it was the sound of the air conditioner or the sound of the washing machine. It turned out in the end that it was the motors of the swimming pool on the fifth floor. This made sleeping very difficult, even impossible, in the entire building. I asked the hotel workers, including the manager, to settle the matter by transferring me to Another room to no avail, under the pretext that the hotel was full and that the reservation was through one of the agencies and not directly. They gave me the choice between accepting or evacuating without returning what I paid, and after receiving a response, I agreed to stay on the condition that they would try to reduce the sound by stopping the fan motor. It turned out to be just a joke on the part of the manager. It was enough to make me live three nights in unbearable hell

Love it
The property is perfect for 4 of us and we have friends in town came to hang out with us. The place is big, it feels like home. The staffs were very friendly. I like clean towels everyday. All I had to do is put it in the green bin n leave it on the front door, they replace the new one right away. I will come back here again. Its worth of every pennies I spent on this property.

The hotel was immaculate! It's only a few years old and it's just beautiful. The suite was spacious and very clean. If I had to give it any feedback, I would just say that the second bedroom could have used a double or queen bed, instead of a single. Otherwise we had the best experience and will definitely be back!

Property was great. Room was clean, huge and pleasant. Second room was a little too small but easily tolerable. 3 minute walk to the beach. Property had lawn chairs and umbrellas, you just had to sign out. It was a great time. Central air, washer and dryer and full kitchen. Would go again definitely.

Great location, great front desk service! I noticed the staff were always cleaning!! The walls were relatively thin, we could hear the people next to us. Pool was small but a nice temperature! I wish the rooms came with a few more supplies, such as measuring cups, more kitchen towels, and paper towels that weren’t so thin. Overall we would come back!

Great location, just outside of the busy area. Walkable to restaurants, the pier, shops. Unit was clean as was all of the kitchen ware. The unit was on the side of the building, but still had views of the beach from the balcony. Beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and sand toys were available for you to carry the short walk to the beach. Great stay!

Second time at the Avalon and will definitely be back
For a family with younger kids you can’t beat the location and amenities. Close enough to walk to lots of things but far enough away to be peaceful day and night. Great setup in the room , friendly staff, and everything you need for an extended stay. It’s been exactly one year since our first stay and you can’t tell it’s gotten older. Very well cared for and it feels like a second home for us now.

Hidden fees
After I made my non-refundable reservation I received a confirmation from the place saying that we had to pay an extra considerable amount per day for parking and another one for resort fees. As you can see, it added about 40% per day. If that had been disclosed by VRBO I may have stayed in a hotel with no hidden fees. The cleaning fee was excessive, and while it was disclosed, it was still outrageous. We went with it because it was unavoidable, but we had no idea of the extra fees that we would have to pay to the building (resort.) Disappointing!
