Call before booking if expecting amenities

Very disappointed in the condition of this hotel. The pool’s heater was broken so it was closed, the business center and fitness centers were closed too. The ADA elevator is the only way to get from the front desk to the only elevator bank on the 1.5 floor (we just dragged all our luggage up two small flights of stairs-the ADA elevator looked a bit scary) The hotel and room smell like a mix of animals and smoke. The carpets are old throughout. Our room’s front door had bolts out of place (like someone may have kicked it in at some point) the toilet looked like it’d just been attached to the wall-not level against it, plaster flaking near the pipe. The tub drain was rusted. The light in the bathroom flickered. A knob was missing from the dresser and was pointed and sharp-I went to shut the drawer and cut myself! The drawers wouldn’t stay shut-felt like the room was tilted. The walls are VERY thin-I could hear the entire convo in the next room…at 12:34am. The decaf coffee at the front desk was always out. Bed was comfortable and the linens were clean. That and the breakfast were the only acceptable mentions here. This place needs a lot of work.

It was near where we needed to be, and we were able to walk there if needed. Diner at the property was excellent, but it's been on Diners, Drive-ins sand Dives so, that's kind of a given. Rooms could use a refresh. Ice machines were all broken except for one, and soda machines were out of product the whole weekend I stayed there. Staff was friendly, and was helpful when I had an issue.

Tear this place down

Housekeeping did not knock on the door before entering. As soon as we got in the fire alarm started and there was no fire. The pool had only ice cold water and it was out of service. The fitness center was not in service. There was no email notification of the pool or the fitness center until after I asked about it.

Complete dump

The worst hotel experience of my life. When I got there the room was cold. The heater air conditioner was so loud I couldn’t hear the TV and it had to be on at all times because no matter how high I turned it up, it never got really warm and then in the middle of the night it will get super hot. I asked for a blanket because they hardly had any coverings on the bed. Starting around the second day I was there. I started hearing construction sounds. The loudest construction sounds. I’ve ever heard like Jackhammer into the ceiling below me they didn’t even bother figuring out which rooms had guests, and which rooms to work on, such a debacle.The last day I was there, the power went out in the building completely. I had no light no way to even gather my things to leave. I had to go to a different hotel and stay and come back in the morning when the power was back on to pack my things and get out. Standing out in the cold, waiting for a cab and going up and down six flights of stairs when I have asthma… an utter nightmare. I’m sure it was partially the reason I got influenza A and have been sick for days now! They gave me no refund for my “inconvenience” they even charge me for the last night that I didn’t even stay there! They said someone would call me. It has not happened yet, stay away from this dump. My lawyer will be letting them know what my inconvenience is worth!

Terrible hotel

The hotel is dirty and they ran out of hot water for a day, couldn’t shower. The only good thing about this place is the diner and location. The rooms are also so small you have to squeeze by to get to the bathroom.

I liked the fact that everything we wanted to do was within close vicinity. I did not like the fact that it was dirty ,noisy. We did not use the shower because it was green around the drain.One of the things that my friends and I like to do is use the pool and I had called 5 times to make sure the pool was up and running and they said yes and the day we checked in they said that the heater went. so we didn't use the pool because it was cold. It was supposed to be a heated pool. I will not stay there again.

DO NOT STAY AT LA QUINTA, STAMFORD, CT

I needed a place to stay while my bathroom was being remodeled. So, I originally made a reservation for 3 nights, and would probably make an additional reservation as Needed. The day I arrived it was freezing in the lobby, The front desk personnel was working under the worst condition. I registered, and once in my room I found that cold air was seeping through all around the heat/cold unit. And, air was coming in from under the door. I complained on day of arrival, and second day. The maintenance person showed up on the third day. But, in the interim I had inserted some restaurant menu flyers from the front desk around the heat unit. and, I asked for towels for the door. The washing machine in laundry room was not working, and I ended up having to wash a couple things by hand. The free breakfast included powdered eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits. And, the juice dispenser was artificial flavored orange, cranberry and apple juice. I requested a discount, but the manager declined. At this point I moved on to the next hotel, which was much better.
