A couple of hours before I was due to check in, the motel called me and said that none of their rooms had air conditioning, it was broken and they didn't know when it would be fixed. They gave me 20% off to stay there. The front desk, when I arrived, said that that building had working AC, but not the building they put me in, and they refused to let me go to the building they had working AC.
After I begged them, they finally at least gave me a small refrigerator so I could have cold drinks to make my stay somewhat bearable. They eventually sent up a box fan to help get air flowing, as despite what the front desk told me, the room was horribly stuffy and hot. However, when I was trying to adjust the fan in the window, it fell like 2 feet to the floor, and it was so cheap and poorly made, one of the blades snapped. I eventually got it to work right, at least.
My last morning there, I went to the bathroom. As I was using the toilet, 2 cockroaches ran into the open and just started chilling there. I told the front desk, and they did say they would give me an extra 20% off. However, they were surprised that when I checked in, I wasn't offered a room in the section with working AC, which indicates that the AC hasn't been working for a while before I got there, and that they had lied about no rooms with AC being available.
I am highly unlikely to go there again if they don't do something to make things right. I am aghast at their treatment of their customers.
