This is one time where the listing definitely helped set expectations. I assumed this was going to be a unique property, and it was.First and foremost - it must cost a small fortune to heat this home. I've never experienced windows so drafty. During our stay we were constantly adjusting the electric heat in 6 different locations in the house. Being baseboard heat, it took some work to find the right balance. It was a bit of a battle.I was a bit annoyed that my key code wouldn't work until exactly 4PM (we arrived 7 minutes early) but that's very minor. I was also a bit surprised that a home at this price point is still using an actual key. Not losing that key was an added challenge. The house was mostly nice. Beds were comfy, the living room was perfect for family relaxing, the fireplace was very nice, took the edge off the cold. The bathrooms were...unique. The shower on the main floor was a no-go for us. The gaps in the floor boards revealed some...not so good things. The shower upstairs was usable, but interesting as well. Great pressure, but it's tough to use without getting water all over the place. Having a view of the ski resort while showering was a nice bonus though! Not a lot of privacy in winter if you want to use the hot tub. There are neighbors (and goats) immediately behind the home.I'd stay in this home again though I think my wife would pass. Decent location, nice enough house, but maybe a bit too unique for a return trip.
