Everything from the décor to the stunning view of the lake, the backyard, kayaks, dock,& fire pit, was well thought out and inviting, making it easy to relax and forget about home. We chose this lakefront place to celebrate what might be our last family vacation for a while, as our eldest just graduated and is moving out for her new job. We wanted relaxing quality time, and this was perfect for our family of four adults and our dog. We hiked in nearby reserves and spent a day in Montreal, enjoying Mount Royal, French treats, and the BioDome, before returning to the cottage for take-out dinner. Most days, we stayed at the cottage, enjoyed thrifting at a local store, and our dog loved the vacation too. I cooked almost every night with the well-stocked kitchen, though I'd recommend bringing your preferred spices. We used the fire pit for s’mores, and my husband fished off the dock daily, catching plenty of fish. We enjoyed takeout from Twiggs and Werner’s, suggestions in the hosts’ info book. The sunsets were a highlight every night, enjoyed with a glass of wine. Andrea and Mike, our hosts, were attentive, leaving a personalized gift for us and our dog, along with a handwritten note. A small issue on the first night was quickly resolved. The cottage is well supplied with towels, paper products, ect. As we left, my daughters and I sighed and said goodbye to the cottage, thanking it for one of our best family vacations. Mike and Andrea, for all the heart you put into the cottage
