A wonderful cool, clean and tidy property. Absolutely amazing staff with which nothing was too much bother to sort out. A small rocky beach nearby was heaven and Syracuse is such a beautiful area.

This place is a dream! The location, the views and especially the people. The staff were all so nice and friendly. Such an accomodating hotel. We had a water view and could not get enough of the beauty that surrounded us. The hotel is beautiful. Beds perfect. and They cleaned the rooms daily. Would definitely return some day (from the USA)

A fabulous place to stay. Ortigia is easy to walk around and you’re not far from any of the historical sights. The bonus was the balcony overlooking the sea Fabulous, friendly staff. Highly recommend 😊

Great location with sea views. The staff is welcoming and helpful. There are a lot of stairs. Reception is one flight up and then rooms are another floor or two above that.

Domus Mariae Albergó is a gem overlooking the sea in Ortigia. Our room had a balcony that overlooked the sea and the sounds and salt breeze were delightful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was at sister inn across the street Staff were very helpful. Location was close to sea wall but not far - a few minutes walk- from restaurants and shopping.

Perfect location with sea views. David was so charming and warm, as were all the staff. Adorable cats, beautiful, clean and perfectly appointed rooms. Cannot recommend it highly enough- and they give you 2 great pillows!

Great hotel - would skip breakfast though.
Centrally located and all in walking distance to everything in Ortigia. Breakfast was very haphazard and even though we pre ordered everything they ran out of what we asked for and half the breakfast never turned up. Cinzia was amazing and very helpful. It would be nice next time if there was enough change for the city on checking out next time.

Everything was perfect. The only thing what could be changed to eliminate the disposable plastic cups in the bathroom and use refillable soap- and shampoo bottles instead of the mini packs.

Property With Great Service and Location
We stayed 1 night in Syracuse and really enjoyed our stay at Domus Mariae Albergo. One huge bonus for us was the ability to drive right up to the property and drop off our luggage. This isn't always possible when traveling in Italy. As mentioned by other reviewers, this property doesn't have an elevator so if you large luggage, this might be a challenge. Our room was pretty basic, but because we weren't in Syracuse for very long, location was most important for us. The property is close to historical sites in Ortigia and has great restaurants nearby. In addition to that, the staff at Domus Mariae Albergo were extremely friendly and helpful. The clerk at the front desk even took the initiative to note down our license plate and register our car while we got settled into our rooms. Free parking is available near the property but is very limited so we ended up parking in a paid lot. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay here.
