We stayed for one night with three of us and it was great. We had three beds and the room was super spacious. Very nice bathroom, though the bidet did not work. The location was great for our needs in a hopping part of town. Free parking. We needed an attendant to help park, but it didn’t really slow us down.
The location is really good with many eateries close by and the hotel is clean with view of the city. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Room rates are reasonable too for that area.
The room was brand new but the comforter and pillow case were on the rough and stiff side. There was a light under the counter in the room that would not shut off unless I pulled the key card out of the electricity slot which meant there was no electricity in the entire room. I would not stay at this hotel again.
I booked a night here at the last minute at a very good price based mainly on the location. The hotel itself is perfectly reasonable and a personal highlight was the Japanese toilet.
However, I have to say that the reception staff at Jin Pin were outstanding and so very helpful. Thank you all so much for your help. Based upon the service I would definitely stay here again if the need arose.
+Rooms are nice & spacious.
+Good view of Taichung.
+Close by for Taichung Bike Week
-not so new interior, but clean.
-they were overbooked & asked me to stay elsewhere. But when I insisted, it was ok

Good ocation, affordable price
Nice location with plenty of restaurant, shop, bar nearby. Big rooms quite clean but a little old.
The hotel looks old and run down from the outside but the condition of the room is better than what it would appear from the main entrance. Nonetheless, the hotel is old (not as new as the pictures look) and therefore do not expect the many 3-star hotel standard that one would see in Taipei.

The Staffs are very friendly and warm, nothing fancy to boost on this home-like hotel. But the room is rather spacious and clean. It provides a water dispenser so hot water is available at any one time, and they change the water dispenser everyday. there is also a small pantry in our room . Hence, you don't have to wait for the bathroom to be free to rinse any fruits/cups or wash hands...which is really very convenient. The breakfast is worth taking too! However, the sound-proof of the room door is not very good. So, if you have good voice chatting along the corridor, you get to share their conversion too. All in all, still a place worth staying. :-)
When checked in , I was informed by the front desk that the room has been upgraded. But I'm not the golden award membership.
The receptionist gave us two ice cream exchange coupons, and told us these can be use anytime.
There are some snacks jar on a corner table beside the front desk.
The room is spacious. We have two simple sofas, two bedside tables, a led TV,a hair dryer,a small refrigerator and a king size bed in it. The bed is big , but too hard for me.
There is only a shower space in bathroom.
