Worst experience ever!
After confirming availability & booking this place for 3 nights, I received a message from the host stating the property wasn't available but luckily, she had another room, located on the same property, that was bigger, more spacious and we would still have all the same amenities. She made it sound like we were getting an upgrade.
We were horrified when we arrived. The luxury villa shown in the photos turned out to be a run-down, dilapidated cabin. The porch was falling apart, the paint was peeling, all the window screens were torn and the place was full of mosquitos.
The dated kitchen had a boarded up door, behind which was a room filled with junk. A pet door flap was built into the wall next to it and animals were coming in & out. There was a strong smell of cat urine throughout the house.
The bathroom lacked the luxury tile and ambient lighting that was described. Instead it was located in a wood panelled closet. The door didn't even close, there was no toiletries as promised. No A/C. No Wifi password.
We left the property within an hour and promptly messaged to host to request a refund. She did not respond until the following day, then refused to refund my $985 USD as she claimed I did not notify her within the required 12 hr, which is a total lie and can be verified by the timestamps on the messages.
