The front door entrance is in a very odd location for accessibility, location wise off the main highway. We had to back track and drive around a bit to find the drive way. The Comfort INN Newmarket is tucked into a commercial building area. Price was fair, front of house staff a bit terse, curt, the cleaning staff and service team always cordial and supportive. We stayed two nights. Heavy snow accumulation the weekend we stayed so the exterior groomed well enough considering weather events.

Room and cleanliness not an issue but room is small with tight spaces. There are no bedside tables/ lamps on outer sides of 2 queen beds. Lots of snow and the sidewalk outside the sliding door to parking area was not cleared, foot of snow, we did it ourselves. There was no one on reception on arrival; when he was yelled for by another employee he was less than friendly. Never experienced a checkin like it. Morning staff pleasant.

Place was OK. Breakfast area for the number of people was too small and option for breakfast was really limited. I know it sounds silly, but there was no water anywhere to be found in and around the first floor.

A few issues.

Room was recently renovated and very clean but was really stinky. Smelled like cigarettes smoke and dog pee. While we appreciate that it was a pet friendly room, the smell was overwhelming. The fridge didn’t work which was inconvenient. They decided to plow the lot at 6am when we were a late check in and turned in at 2am.
