A Perfect Destination
I am a super picky person as well as Premier Vrbo Host and this property did not disappoint!! This cabin does not feel like a rental property but like a home! Our cabin was exceptionally clean with lots of extras in the kitchen and bathrooms not found in most Vrbo rentals. Michelle answered all of our questions quickly and assisted having extra firewood delivered to the property which was used in the massive fire pit. The kitchen was well equipped for whatever you might cook. There is also a Weber grill on the deck which we did not use but a nice option. The property is located about 20 minutes from Grayson Highlands which offers excellent hiking. Everyone in my family thoroughly enjoyed the property and discussed when are we coming back. The beds were very comfortable and soft linens on the beds and very nice towels in the bathrooms. Thank you Michelle for your letting us use your exceptional property and being the perfect host!

Ten Stars!
This property is beautiful, inside and out! We enjoyed the gorgeous, peaceful views from the porches as well as from inside. The porch swings, glider/rocker Adirondack chairs, and outside table and chairs were all enjoyed as well. The kids helped themselves to the outdoor play equipment and discovered the board games inside. The dining room table seated all eight in our party comfortably, and the kitchen is fully equipped with quality items and high end appliances. The dining room and kitchen are open to the living room, which was great for three families getting together. Three full bathrooms are such a plus! Michelle was the perfect host and provided all the extras one could need. We really hope to go back to Foxfire Ridge Retreat!

This place is close to some great locations in VA. The things that stood out...it was so clean, the firepit is wonderful, the beds are comfortable. Great porch offering 3 different views. And there is lots of thoughtful care to having things that you may have left behind. A total winner.

Michelle was a gracious host. Her home was spotless. Such a beautiful property and peaceful. She thought of everything (supplies for anything you forgot);sweet presents to greet us(s’mores , coffee, note, flowers). Such a nice welcome. We arrived after dark and she sent me directions to the cabin and had all the lights on for us. She was quick to answer any questions. Gem of Grayson County
The cabin was the perfect home base for out weekend hiking retreat! It is conveniently located near Grayson Highlands State Park and Mt Rogers. The house itself is meticulously stocked and labeled, and the decorating/decor was amazing! It was not too cozy for 7 adults, especially with the ample outdoor space on the wrap around porch and fire pit. Thank you for the s’mores welcome kit! We will definitely stay again!

Wonderful Getaway in the Mountains!
Perfect from start to finish! Annual getaway with friends. Michelle was amazing in every way. The cabin is truly lovely with thoughtful, quality finishes at every turn. A family treasure that is obviously cherished/treasured. Spacious and comfortable inside and out. The dining table was ideal for shared meals, conversation and evening games. Outside, there is a treasure chest of lawn games to include grill and firepit. The views are stunning with a wrap around porch to view both sunset and sunrise. Michelle went above and beyond with communication and commitment to best possible. Thank you for sharing this amazing property!

More than we hoped for!
Beautiful property! Quiet mountain views horses turkey deer birds seen every day. Home itself has everything we needed. Best equipped kitchen we've ever seen and a huge fridge! Gas fireplace and host left a Christmas tree up for our stay and a present for our 2 boys! WIFI dependable. Comfortable furnishings. Yard games and a nice fire pit. Host checked on us and responded quickly. We enjoyed snow tubing and visiting trails and nearby towns. From welcome basket of muffins and coffee, to the history tucked away in each room and decor, the hosts extra touches were truly beyond the ordinary ! I could go on there were so many thoughtful details. It was more than we hoped for! Want to come back in the summer!

Second Trip to Foxfire
Our second trip to Foxfire was as great as our first. The home is beautiful, clean, and perfectly situated for amazing views from the porch. We enjoyed hiking in Grayson Highlands, yard games, the fire pit and s’mores welcome basket, and relaxing across the property. Beautiful
Beautiful is the best word to describe this listing - the property, the home, the view, even the drive - everything is beautiful! Michelle communicated well with us and everything was wonderfully clean when we arrived. The area is full of things to do - mountains to climb, small towns to visit, excellent restaurants - and the home is a great place to relax as well. The kitchen is well supplied. There are yard games, books, tvs, and (when we were there) a telescope. The wildlife is sweet to view - birds, bunnies, deer, fireflies. We could not have chosen a better place for our get away. Thank-you Stamper family!!

I can't say enough about how impressed we were with this property and the host's attention to detail. It far surpassed our expectations. It was evident that they put a great deal of thought into what we would need for a relaxing, stress free vacation. The view is beautiful and peaceful including at night when the fireflys put on a light show. The area offers various options for motorcycle rides. The Back of the Dragon is a hidden gem in Virginia that beats the The Tail of the Dragon. 32 miles of twists and turns that challenges even a seasoned rider. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to getaway for some rest and tranquility.

Charm of the Mountains
We longed to return to Southwest Virginia and when I first came across this charming cabin I knew I had to book it. We were not disappointed!! It is fantastically clean, so comfortable and well appointed. Everywhere you look are thoughtful decorative touches to welcome you. My little family felt so much at peace here. We soaked in the relaxation around the fire pit and the wonderfully rustic dining table. Even on a rainy day, we just enjoyed the view and fireplace with a glass of wine, and played some games. We hiked at Grayson Highlands two days to take in the stunning mountain beauty, and encountered some ponies along the A.T. Damascus and the Creeper Trail are not far as long as you enjoy driving some "Crooked Road" (there's even a waterfall hiding in plain sight along the way). If you're looking to venture out for a bite to eat, we enjoyed Stateline Outpost (live music on Saturdays) and also have been to Pie on the Mountain down in Lansing. I'd also recommend checking out what's going on at the beautiful Lincoln Theatre in Marion. Thank you so much Michelle for your great communications and providing us such a really wonderful stay and home-away-from-home experience!

Best ever!
We stayed at this property for 5 nights with 7 people. It was perfect! The home was loved and the kitchen had everything you could ever need/want. The owners were so accommodating and kind. The area is beautiful and and all that was advertised. If you are looking for a mountain home with fabulous views and comfortable surroundings, this is the place!

We really enjoyed our sibling retreat at this home. Everything was so clean and the view was amazing.. The wrap around porch was so relaxing and the area was peaceful and quiet. SW Virginia Perfection
Wow! This is a beautiful cabin in an idyllic setting. Everything about it was pure perfection - cleanliness, decor, amenities & a picture perfect setting. We had a fabulous time exploring the surrounding area most notably Grayson Highlands State Park (which is very close), Damascus & the VA Creeper Trail, Hungry Mother State Park/town of Marion & West Jefferson, NC. The location was great for getting to all of these areas. We can’t wait to visit our new favorite corner of VA someday soon & return to Foxfire Ridge!

Absolutely wonderful
Everything about this cabin is wonderful! The furnishings, the beds, the views, and the owners. What an incredibly well designed masterpiece of a cabin. We enjoyed everything Foxfire has to offer: firepit nights under the stars, movies with popcorn and hot cocoa, and reading on the porch. We took turns in the gliders and the swings. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

A relaxing vacation in a beautiful location
My family has stayed in several cabins around this area, and this cabin is the only one that we would definitely reserve again. The home was beautifully decorated and so welcoming. The owners have truly seen to any need or comfort you may have during your vacation. From the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us upon arrival, to the fluffy pillows and ‘just in case you forgot’ baskets of essentials, this home had everything you might need. The house and grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed several nights outside among the stars with a roaring fire in the fire pit. I wholeheartedly recommend FoxFire retreat as a delightful vacation spot in beautiful southern Virginia.

Wonderful stay!
Beautiful property. Very responsive hosts who live locally. We loved the gas fireplace. We were able to visit Grayson Highlands in spite of the weather and enjoyed the light snow before returning home to blossoms and spring weather.
