The walled courtyard and decor both inside and outside of this casita are what make this property truly special! Couples wanting to experience the north Tucson foothills and have a bit more privacy and space than a traditional condo complex allows will really appreciate this spot. It was great for our small dog, too! There is a trail system in the desert just east of the street that’s perfect for morning and evening dog walks (it’s big with mountain bikers, so keep your eyes open when walking). Hosts Georgia and Howard couldn’t be more lovely, and a notebook in the casita provides Georgia’s phone number if you need anything.
Just FYI: the second bedroom is a loft with spiral staircase, so anyone with mobility issues will need the downstairs bedroom, and privacy is limited in the loft, so it’s good for older kids, but not two couples on a longer-term vacation. The kitchen has no oven or cooktop, but there is a grill, toaster oven, microwave and pressure cooker (I struggled locking the lid), so you can make meals if you plan accordingly. And while there is a small refrigerator in the kitchen, there is a larger one with freezer in the storage room.
It’s such a great spot, we will be back!
