I love this hotel, it's only my second stay but the pool is lovely, the staff are super friendly and real, and the breakfast is great. However, the shower head fell down on my friend, and hit her in the chest. She tried to put it back on, it fell down again and hit her. She gave up at this point. I then tried to screw it back in, which seemed to work, but it then crashed to the tiles as soon as the water was turned on. I rang reception - the person there went into a meltdown, didn't apologise, just said the maintenance person would be there in an hour and to wait - the person was hard to understand. I waited until after the maintenance person should have started. Nothing. I rang reception again, spoke to someone else who apologised immediately, offered a shower in another room. She came to the door with the key promptly. Shower was on another floor, but at least then we could have a shower and get to breakfast - very hungry at this point and running late. When I checked out, I returned the keys, asked if there was any compensation for the injury my friend had suffered, staff said they would consult management and be in touch. Nothing. A week has passed. Disappointing.

Perfect location close to lots of ammenities.
Perfect location for anyone that wants the airport nearby, along with the use of public transport to and from. The hotel staff were very accomodating to our needs. The pool and its area were kept well maintained. Great mixture of buffet breakfast items included and the lunch/dinner/drinks menu are more than enough to please everyone.

As a walking disabled person I found the twin bed very high to easily get in and I did find the floor in the shower quite slippery and so I put a towel down to stand on, which worked to keep me safe. I'm sure I could have asked for a a disability room and/or a slip mat, but I didn't because I was ready to hop in. Beautiful modern room, clean, and all the things you need, coffee and kettle to name a few. The buffet breakfast was excellent and had more choice than I was expecting. I would stay there again just for the breakfast.

There was noise from the plumbing when the neighbour room used their bathroom. We were not allowed for a late check-in. Thw restaurant is ok but there is not much choice for food in the area. You could drive to town but you loose the parking spot. I found a couple of hairs in the shower.

Excellent base for Gold Coast sight seeing
Excellent base for family who lived at Palm beach Only downside is having to pay for offsite parking as hotel does not have enough parking spaces for the amount of guests.

Rydges Gold Coast Airport Hotel - Gold Coast (Queensland, Australia) is a hidden gem of a hotel. The entire staff, restaurant staff and convenient location was outstanding to say the least! 2 Blocks from the beach, steps from a bus stop made exploring so easy! Food is delicious. Bar staff the kindest and knowledgeable - Kirra, you are the best. Front Desk staff again the greatest! Extra kudos to Mr. Peter!
