This was our first stay at The Perch while traveling on Vancouver Island with our family (booked as 4 adults + 2 children). Great location, walkable to Wild Pacific Trail, Little Beach, and restaurants in Ucluelet. Highly recommend stopping in for your morning coffee at Foggy Bean Coffee Company.
Despite the listing photos that make this home seem spacious, be aware that this is a 2-bedroom "tiny" home. The appliances were high-end; however the drawer dishwasher did not function; we advised host Connor at the time with no resolution during our stay. Handwashing dishes for 6 people was a vacation chore not anticipated.
Enjoyed the modern bathroom with heated floor, good water pressure and nice lighting; however, no extra towels for 6 people (and we paid extra person fees). The slow shower drain has the potential for overflow (maintenance issue)
The Perch listing is marketed as accommodation for up to 6 people. Again, we paid base rate + extra person fees yet kitchen linen and dish inventory did not meet minimum expectations (For example, there were only 3 coffee mugs)
Overall unit amenities were disappointing when booking a VRBO branded home...for example only 1 small television hung in the corner of living room and the seating didn't allow for viewing without moving the furniture. Seating was inadequate for family gatherings. Very minimal furnishings throughout the home including the bedrooms where we lived out of our suitcases for three nights.
Enjoyed Ucluelet!
