Our 2 night stay at the sandman was pretty decent for my first time in this city! Great views and a super convenient location, less than 10 min walk to the Roger’s arena, Gastown neighbourhood, etc. I did not drive so I can’t speak for the parking situation but it seems okay. The overall size of everything in the hotel was a bit of an issue as well as housekeeping/general cleanliness. The 2 elevators are super super small, can fit max 6 people shoulder to shoulder with no baggage, maybe 4 with bags. On a Friday night, it took me 25 mins total from the 8th floor to lobby back up. The 2 dbl bed room w/ city view was quite cramped, there were 3 of us staying here and the mirror/sink area had barely enough space for 1 so I wouldn’t recommend this room if you’re planning a girls trip. Our room had scuffs and dents all over the walls, assuming from suitcases and past guests. The bathroom was definitely not cleaned properly or thoroughly, there were some off putting splatter marks and greasy handprint on the walls. Aside from this, it was a cozy stay with a good location and fair pricing.

The bathroom was not properly cleaned. Toenail in the shower. Also in the middle of the night the power went out. When it came back on at 3am all the lights turned on and woke us up. The microwave was beeping. Had very poor sleep
