Rustic charm just a few minutes from volcanoes. Be aware that there is no a/c. My room had a dehumidifier that was loud and ran hot, making me think the heat was on in my room. It was also rather loud and I was grateful that it shut off around 8pm

Near the volcano, which is why we picked it. Reasonable price, near the village and the volcano house. The room was large and fairly clean. The frogs kept us awake, but we got used to them. Very responsive hosts, there is no host at the lodge, but there are plenty of supplies if you run out of towels or coffee, or anything you can usually get from a hotel. The neighborhood seems safe. The store down the road had most anything you need. There’s a laundry at the true value store down the road.

It would be wonderful if you provided ear plugs for the frogs. I brought my own but my family did not. Also a fan that can go in the window would be wonderful to cool the room down.

What a sweet little spot. We were volcano watching and did not want to have to drive back to Kona, so we spotted this place at a very reasonable price, booked it and saved ourselves the 2 hour schlep. It was clean, quiet (well except for the coqui frogs - but just had to close the window) , cozy and had a supremely comfortable bed. Best of all, it was 8 minutes from the park. I would not hesitate to stay here again on our next volcano expedition. Thanks Lokahi Lodge!

This was a fun little lodge tucked back into the trees. No staff was on site, so check-in/out was self serve, which was all good. The only complaint we had was the noise. The frogs at night were SO LOUD!! We could hear them even with all of our windows shut.

Perfect place to stay when visiting Volcano National Park. It’s so close and far more affordable than staying at the lodge….and it has a fridge, microwave, TV, coffee…so many more amenities…next time I’ll stay longer to enjoy our zen lanai. Thank you!
