We are a returning customer due to our enjoyment after the first time we went. This second time was horrendous due to the lack of care from the hosts.
We arrived at check-in to an unshovelled and unplowed parking lot, nearly almost getting stuck. We did not receive any communication from the hosts about any key combination to lock the door since it is a digital lock. We called, texted, and emailed the hosts and received no answer.
Going forward, a couple shows up to our door punching in OUR code that locks and unlocks the cottage and walked in on us. It was a double booking.
Now we finally spoke to the host, about our concern, and we raised concerns that now other people know our combination. Host states to us, “don’t worry they won’t come back, we haven’t changed our locks in 8 months”, after demanding that we want the code changed for OUR peace of mind in our vacation, the host was EXTREMELY rude and VERY unaccommodating and disconnected our call.
People should worry, as people who stayed here in the past know the passcode to this cottage, the host will not do anything about it, leaving the area prone to security.
