We loved our stay at the Toll House cottage on Antietam Creek. We went to enjoy the fresh snow with my dog, but as other reviewers have indicated it would be terrific during the warmer months too. The land it’s on is gorgeous and inside the furniture is comfortable, the kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, and the wood stove and other heaters kept us warm. The location is convenient to multiple Civil War battlefields and Liberty Mountain is close by for skiers.
Just a note: While the kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, trays, cutlery, and appliances, it lacks the spices and oils I’ve typically found in Vrbo homes. Be sure to bring salt, pepper, olive oil and any spices you’d like.
