Lovely stay for 3 nights in Wellington
The room was very clean; check in staff was friendly and smooth; bed and pillows were comfortable; bathroom was refreshing with toiletries (e.g. shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower cap, vanity kit); fridge was convenient; iron and ironing board; internet was fast; and offerings for use with a provided kettle (e.g. instant coffee, tea, hot chocolate, spoon, cups, glasses). There is also an expensive laundry service that you can send away if necessary. Do note that your windows may be viewable by another person with ease. One issue we found is that there's no nearby outlets towards the head of the bed requiring an extension cord and adapter if you have a medical device.

The staff at James Cook are awesome. From calling to confirm the booking on the day (as we arrived in Wellington) - to the experience in the hotel itself - at all times the staff were cheerful, helpful and kind. I have stayed at James Cook many times over the years, and the experience is consistent and wonderful - caring and experienced staff, and lovely modern and clean facilities. The location is very central, so supported a weekend break in Wellington perfectly! Thank you to all the wonderful staff at James Cook, we had a wonderful time.

I usually stay at a nearby hotel but gave the James Cook a go. I was certainly not disappointed as the room was spacious, clean, modern and in a great city location. I got room service one night and the food was tasty and piping hot. I didn’t try the restaurant or bar (lobby bar is currently closed). Overall, great vslue for money.

One night stay 2-3 Jan 2025. Part of a longer trip. Hotel has parking available, but not included, at a cost of 30 AUD per 24 hrs Our stay was great, we had a nice room, very comfortable. And the best part we weee able to check in 4 hours early at no extra cost. No negatives
