Hello,
I know that sometimes families rent spaces in their homes to help supplement necessary income. While I in no way want to interfere with you meeting your family’s needs, I felt uncared for staying in your home. The young people who helped us inside were lovely and I’m very grateful they were willing to come out and assist.
My friend and I arrived around 9:30-10. I did not receive any information about how to access the room. We arrived and tried to navigate possible doors to the room in the dark, but didn’t understand which was ours and everything seemed locked. We were unfamiliar with the double knob system.
We tried getting help by ringing the resident’s bell, but no one answered for a long time. I emailed the host in advance of arriving to ask about entrance procedures and didn’t hear back. I emailed again saying we were locked out and didn’t hear back. I had no other way to contact the host.
Finally the younger residents helped us out. We got in the room and there was some trash on the floor and in the freezer. There was no hand towel and the toilet paper was nearly out. The young woman helped with this, thankfully.
The shower surfaces had dirt, hair and mildew. The kitchen was mostly stocked but missing a cutting knife and some silverware.
The location is beautiful. The view is amazing, the air is fresh. The bed was very comfortable. We were grateful for a place to stay and hope you can make considerate improvements for future stays. Thank you, take care
