First of all, the place isn’t even called Signature Inn on the sign, making it difficult to find. I had to call the front desk on my cell phone and wait for them to show up to check in. Then, they gave me a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet. So, I had to call them again and wait again.
Here’s the real problem: When I arrived late and after a long day of travel, they couldn’t find my reservation. That’s because I changed it (due to snow) on the Expedia application, and well within my time frame to do so. Expedia, however, didn’t relay the updated information to the hotel and they marked me as a “no-show”. The hotel then charged me again and told me to contact Expedia about the mix-up and to get a refund from their end. Expedia’s fault.
The problem I have with Signature Inn is that, when I filled a claim with Expedia, they told me they’d have to verify by calling the hotel. Since Signature Inn never answered Expedia’s repeated contact attempts, my claim was denied.
Now, I’m left paying double for a hotel that was worth half of what I should have paid.
