The property manager/owner couldn't have been more helpful or responsive. We had many questions. There were a few hiccups along the way, and he addressed them as best he could. One of the water heaters was not working, so no hot water in kitchen or upstairs bathroom. Owner had just spent a lot of money putting in new water heaters, so apparently something had gone wrong. Owner was receptive to our small suggestions on how to improve the space and experience.
The space was beautiful and chock full of grandfather clocks, an old telephone, old dolls, Hummel spice jars, plates, and authentic looking hardware/fixtures. Owner had obviously gone to a lot of trouble and expense to renovate the space to make it as authentic as possible (the building had once been an old inn). The property originally had been listed on VRBO as "sleeps 12," but actually has one king bed, three queens, and a narrow futon-style mattress that a small person could sleep on, in one of the bedrooms that also had a queen.
We would stay there again, if we decide to visit northern Connecticut in the future.
