Breathtaking scenery from almost every room in the house. This is our second time staying in this neighborhood which we enjoy because of the amazing vistas, the almost ever-present breeze and gated security. This was our first stay at the Casa and the photos don't do it justice. We were two couples, so we had ample space and did not have to worry about getting primo seating on the three pool lounges. We especially enjoyed the main area, the dining room with the big, beautiful wooden table and comfortable chairs, and the TV, office, internet room that allows for some privacy. The upstairs main bedroom suite is gigantic and has a great view from the terrace (would have enjoyed a chaise lounge up there or on the downstairs verandas). It has a seating area, ample closet space, a table with a make-up mirror in front of a window and comfortable king bed. The main bathroom is huge, with two sinks, two shower heads and a toilet. I was a bit worried about the two windows over the toilet compromising privacy, as they do not have shutters, but the street is not busy, and it might be hard to look into the bathroom from the street unless someone makes an effort. Yolanda rigged up an ingenious solution to covering a window in the bedroom that does not have shutters, so the room would be less bright early in the morning, making sleeping in possible with earplugs to quiet the bird sounds outside. Thank you! It was great to open up the shutters to see the unbeatable view!
The other couple stayed in one of the two lower bedrooms with a nice view and terrace. We did not use the fourth bedroom which is dark, damp, smells musky and has to be reached via a narrow hallway passing the laundry area and pool/mechanical room. The fourth bedroom has a door to the outside, two windows, but no view. We would not have wanted to stay in that room, because of location and ambiance. Teens might like the increased privacy and being away from the adults, but they might be tempted to sneak out.
The outside kitchen is very well stocked with lots of functional pots and pans, dishes, Tupperware, silverware. We appreciated that someone had left cellophane, little baggies and foil, but that might be a function of who leaves what when they leave. The stove is huge and worked well. So did all the other appliances. Jacqui was great to work with. She was communicative via email ahead of time and easily reachable via WhatsApp during our stay. Yolanda was super friendly and kept things clean.
