The office is always locked and unstaffed but they do answer when you ring the bell. Our room was recently updated but still had a few flaws none of which impeded our stay. One of the window screens was torn so we didnt want to open the window and possibly let in flies or bugs. The other window did open so that was good however nothing more than a plastic clip type holder to stop the window so while we were out we didnt feel it would be safe to leave the window open, we were on the ground floor. The other was a wobbly lamp. So again nothing that affected our stay. The room was being cleaned when we arrived so it was fresh upon check-in. There was enough coffee, towels and soap for out stay. A nice refrigerator with a good sized freezer as well. Overall a lovely little place to stay.

The hotel was on a Main Street so traffic noise was loud. The carpet was very dirty. We wanted to use the ice machine but it was turned off. The manager was coming back to the hotel and we were to be notified if he was turning it back on. No one contacted us and the ice machine was not turned on. There is no one in the office in the morning when you check out if you have any questions or concerns.

My room was very clean the only thing is it had a musty smell. For a king size bed the room was large. Both times for check in and check out i had to ring the bell for an attendant. The hotel was quiet and i was able to park in front of my room.

Overall not a bad stay. Big room was pretty clean except for the carpet. No breakfast which is disappointing since the price of this room was very expensive considering the location of the hotel. Walking my dog at night was scary due to the homless people hanging out around the hotel with drunks puking on the sidewalk and in the alley. Hotel has no control over this. Staff was friendly.

I liked that they upgraded the inside of the rooms. The bed had issues. The mattress cover had a large brown stain on the corner by my head. The pillow had a large brown spot that looked like blood. The bathroom light did not work and they put a lamp in bathroom to make do. The sink had no hot water. The property was almost empty and I wondered why they put us in that particular room.
