Never disappoints

Needs dusting in foyer especially the umbrellas. Staff could not be faulted especially Aaron the manager and the Whisky Lounge barman (great choice in music) and excellent cocktails. Thoroughly enjoyed stay yet again.

Noisy family ruined our stay

We have stayed in this hotel before but this trip is the worst we have ever encountered in a hotel stay. The hotel its self was clean and tidy and welcomed well by staff. Our complaint isn’t 100% fault of the hotel but the very inconsiderate family that were next to us. They arrived loudly around 8pm we were bedded by 9.15pm as had busy day planned for next day. This family were banging shouting, screaming for hours I couldn’t phone earlier as my daughter was managing to sleep through it. Then finally they woke her at midnight playing hide and seek! You couldn’t honestly write this! Mother shouting hide in the bathroom!! We could hear it all! I called down and reception sent security. They did not by looks knock on door of family just reported back via radio. The noise got a little quieter but carried on till just after 1am! On check out I asked what the response was and they just commented that they had seen a note that there was noise and a mild apology. I’ve honestly never heard anything like this and felt totally let down, I paid for night hotel stay and we got around 5-6 hours as we were up early for breakfast as we had plans made for our day. We had to cut our day short due to our horrendous experience as we weee both exhausted. I feel if these had been just adults I’m sure they would have been asked to leave. Also if I hadn’t brought it up on check out I wouldn’t have even got an apology. Sadly will Take our custom elsewhere.

Sandman suite review

The hotel room was ok. We had a kitchen area but the pots were not cleaned. We didn't use them, so there no issue, but it is an example of the housekeeping standards. Overall though nice hotel and would stay again.

Nice hotel, right in the city centre, so can be a bit noisy at night. Breakfast was good, if a little lukewarm, but overall, good.

Lovely room, stylish furnishings. Only things missing in the room - hair conditioner and earl grey tea …. Surely these could be provided? But it was very comfortable otherwise. Breakfast was ok… but no scrambled egg available.
