Staff were friendly & helpful for checking in and out. Our room and floor in general (hallways leading to the room) had a very bad musty mould like smell to it and despite cracking the dirty old window open, the smell did not disapear. The smell was bad enough to make me feel quite nauseated & felt like i couldn't take a full breath of air. I appreciate it's history & age as building and it's prime location for easy access to the city however, unless there was a big upgrade to the internal rooms/floors etc. I would not stay again.

My original room had no window and a mouldy musty smell. When I contacted reception they immediately moved me to another room which was much better. Staff were very accommodating.

The hotel is old, and the rooms have a mouldy smell. This hotel needs renovations to remove the old bedrooms that make the room small with that extension on the wall. Rooms need better lighting.
