Conveniently positioned on the main road between Grasmere and Keswick, this delightful old Inn has a cosy warm feel, induced by low beams, cracking fire, flagged stones, and intimate restaurant settings.The stall were exemplary, nothing to much bother. The food is pub food. Don't expect anything more. The table d'hote , is overpriced in my opinion, for what is served up. So treat it for what it is.... a traditional pub. The room was warm, clean and the shower perfect. What more would you nedd to come back to from a day on the hills? :)
