Nice feel to location. Room did smell of smoke a lot though. Pool needs a good clean but pleasant area. The hot tub jets were broken so spewed everywhere. Just needs a little TLC

I tried to check in and was ignored by an employee on the phone for 25 minutes. I had to get to a football game so I went to check in after and was told my room was given away due to being over booked so I would have to take an old room from the outside because I booked through a third party. The door to get into the hotel by my room was broke so had to walk around to find one that worked. Another guest waited as well and asked me if she was invisible because she was not acknowledged either. Went to the pool area and the restroom there was very dirty with paper all over the floor and the door would not lock. Noise was loud outside my room. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel property.

This property was average. It wasn’t necessarily dirty, just dated. But this is not my issue. My issue is in overhearing the woman working the front desk and the woman working the breakfast buffet. The were complaining about the amount of food guests were taking and apparently wasting. The woman working the buffet announced she’”Used to beat up people like that.” You can have your gripes but watch where you say it.

The hotel and vacilities were nice enough, although perhaps dated, and my room was decent also. But it was not a comfortable room because it was extremely hot in it, and the AC/Heat fixture was very old and had no adjustments to it - it just blew air out, constantly - tepid air, room temperature air - that did nothing at all to cool or heat, either one, and so it kept the room stuffy and hot. Mentioning this to the desk clerk in the morning as I was leaving, she simply said I should have called and complained, that there'd been problems with the heating/cooling system and many AC units had needed to be "reset". So it was apparently my fault for not complaining and even though she seemed to know the units needed to be "reset" in some way, that was only done if one complained. Anyway, no actual apology to me that the room had been so uncomfortable, just a lesson to me that I apparently do not complain enough.
