Great winter break

We were hoping for a great escape for us and our granddaughters during their winter break and the Funky Dutchman did not disappoint! The gardens and zoo are surprisingly fun in the winter and Chocolate World can easily fill a day. Best of all, though, was hanging out at the house. We all loved the hot tub even in 20 degree weather! The game room was a big hit too, especially foosball. We watched movies in the theater room every night. With popcorn. The kitchen had everything we needed for a family dinner, but we also had a great meal at a fun restaurant right across the street. Highly recommend this place.

Awesome place!

The Funky Dutchman was an amazing place! The owners really stocked this place with everything you could possibly think of and were very responsive! The game room was a huge hit, as well as all of the character that the house had. We loved how close we were to the Rotunda Brew Pub, and just a short drive to all of the Hershey attractions. Best Rental Ever!

We booked the Funky Dutchman for our daughter’s birthday trip to Hershey Park. The home was beautifully decorated and had fall decor throughout. We couldn’t stop talking about how much we loved the home. The owners have thought about every detail and supplied everything you would need during your stay. The girls had so much fun with all the games, movie room and hot tub. We couldn’t have booked a better place to stay! We have already discussed coming back for future trips to Hershey. The town of Annville is also a gem with restaurants and coffee shops walking distance away. The owners had great communication about checking in and out but we really didn’t need to contact them at all as everything was clearly written down throughout the home. Thank you so much for a great place to stay!! It was a trip we will remember forever!

The Funky Dutchman was the best kind of funky! Everything was very clean, well stocked, so nice they provide sheets and towels and so much more! The kids (ranging from ages 4 to 9) had a BLAST - so much to do between the game room, movie room, pool, hot tub, smores by the fire and more. Easy drive to Hershey each day. The hosts communication was great. Would definitely stay again!

Great weekend

A few old friends from college get together 1-2x a year to catch up and we landed at the Funky Dutchmen for a great weekend away. Super clean and adorable. So many extras included! Linens, towels, soap, coffee, ziplock bags, etc. It was great! We enjoyed hanging out at the house, utilized the hot tub and proximity to Hershey. We enjoyed the brewery right across the street as well. Everything was great. The only issue we ran into was that the there was no where to hang up clothes. Closets were secured for what I assume to be the owner’s belongings. We were only there for a couple days so it wasn’t a big deal. If we planned to stay longer, it might have been a challenge. Minor thing really. It’s a great house.

Wowsa is right!!!

Our weekend trip was made even more wonderful by our stay at this amazing home! We spent an hour when we first got there just taking everything in! Very thoughtful, wish we had spent more time here!

We had such an amazing stay with 2 families with young children and dog. Our kids didn't want to leave the game room area and movie theater. The location is wonderful and super convenient to have garage parking. There were so many thoughtful touches such as the popcorn for the movie theater, extra blankets coffee and tea station. It was very clean and one of the best stays we have had!

A VRBO to remember!

We are a 3 generational family from ages 24-86 on a weekend getaway to reconnect. This home has a bit of Parisian flair mixed with undeniable Dutch culture making it a fabulous getaway! TOP on our list of accommodation recommendations. While our stays in vrbos may be extensive, we have never stayed in a holiday home with such complete and boundless amenities. The thoughtfulness given, from the decor to the niceties, obvious hosting families in your vacation rental is a labor of love for you. The movie theater, s’mores around the fire pit, relaxing in the hot tub, meals & games around the beautiful dining room table are the memories which last forever and will be shared with many. Not to mention what a hit the candy machine, the popcorn popper and that fabulous game room was for all of us. Check in & instructions for property were clear and concise. Definitely hope to rebook! Great getaway

We stayed at the funky Dutchman for 8 days. My cousins and I do a family vacation once a year and this year we met in the middle in PA. Kyle was easy to work with and responded quickly to all my questions and concerns. The house was fully stocked with TP, trash bags, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dishwasher tabs, foil, plastic baggies, and so much more! You basically just need to show up with your clothes and enjoy! The neighborhood is beautiful and has lots to do that’s close by, including a brewery across the street. If you have littles with you, cleona elementary school has a beautiful playground that’s about 10 mins away (you can play there as along as school is not in session). My whole family enjoyed walking the path, playing basketball, playing on the playground, and more). The house is also located 15-20 mins from Hershey park and Hershey world! We will definitely go back in the future!

Incredible!!!

The hosts- absolutely amazing! Extremely communicative and helpful. They were on the ball about absolutely everything. I never waited for a response about anything, somehow they were always immediately available, even in the evenings! The home - SOOO immaculately CLEAN! I’ve stayed at other clean properties but something always gave me the “ick” ex. Stray hair in the shower, dust on an appliance, not great smelling bed sheets etc. Somehow, not one thing in this home made me feel like other people stay there too. It was all so clean and smelled clean! Not just like they used febreeze to cover It up. The amenities in the home were great as well. Everything was covered. You needed It, the home had It. The backyard was great, we had some rain but the way the landscaping was done; there was absolutely no puddles or standing water, definitely something you appreciate when walking the yard to the garage. The hot tub was amazing too! Just as clean as the inside of the home. The location- the best part was the walking distance to multiple bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and good places too!! The 15-20 min drive to Hershey was convenient too! Overall this stay was 10/10. I’m not usually one to repeat my stays because I like to see what else is out there but I absolutely without doubt will be booking this stay again. Truly, one of the best.

Perfection! A true Gem!

A complete gem of a find! We absolutely loved your place! The owner's have thought of everything! The home has been beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, from funky to fantastic in all areas! Before we arrived, we had great communication, with pictures as well. We arrived to a cozy comforting home. Their guidebook is clear and informative, not only about the home and how everything works, but also about the surrounding areas. The activities within the home, including games, books, dvd's, game room, theater room, hot tub, grill, smores, lawn games, popcorn maker, cozy blankets and much much more. All of the little things you need to make your stay better, they have provided, including tea, coffee, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, baggies, seasonings, olive oil, shampoo, toothpaste and more! A true gem, thank you for making us feel at home! We have are own VRBO, that we have decorated and provided all of the upgraded necessities as well.
