Nice hotel
Hotel was nicely positioned and friendly staff. Unfortunately the air conditioning is not yet operational, of which we were aware, but the rooms, even with a fan, were overly warm. Really nice touch is the free aperitives late afternoon.

Perfect Location
Location is perfect. I’d call this an efficiency hotel as the standard rooms are comfortable but not fancy. They have what you need. Everything was very clean and the service is excellent. Breakfast is sufficient. No air conditioning would be a problem during the hottest months. We would definitely stay again.

Loved the convenience of being close to the center of the old town. The room was comfortable albeit small. The toilet facing the head of the bed took me by surprise. Enjoyed the free "aperitivo" every evening, offering snacks and good quality wines and beer.

Poor stay; unresolved issues with the room
Poor stay; unresolved issues with the room which were highlighted to the staff during our stay and remained unresolved. Sink was blocked before we arrived in the room, slow to drain (how can this not have been something housekeeping were unaware of and not have reported anyway?) Bath was unable to switch between shower and bath outlets. Shower hose was damaged and frayed. Room was generally cold, with only underfloor heating in the bathroom. Uninsulated concrete room construction with a small electic radiator in one corner lead to a very stuffy yet cold room most of the time.

Lovely stay at Banks for the second time. Only complaint was no air con so be prepared to keep windows/ doors open or use the fan provided.

The person checking us in was unfriendly and indifferent. A little disappointing as the reception at the other hotels were so friendly. The other people we felt with were cordial. The breakfast was not Buffett and we were served the same breakfast every day. There is no choice and the breakfast was at best average. While eating breakfast the girl in the kitchen did the dishes so loudly that we got up and left as we found it unpleasant and not a nice ambiance . The room was very nice and the bed was quite comfortable. The room had a very nice bathtub. I don’t think we would say there again.
