Ardales 2 pax by Ruralidays
House located in Ardales, in the Guadalteba Region, province of Malaga, Andalusia.
The terrace gives you wonderful views of the white village of Ardales and the ruins of the castle that rest on top of a rock.
The house is located on the attic floor of the building. It has a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with a bathtub, a living-dining room with a kitchenette. Equipped with microwave, ceramic hob, hot/cold air conditioning in the living room and bedroom, WIFI, etc.
In general, the complex has apartments for two, three, four, five and eight people. All designed individually, in the bedrooms of each apartment you will see a site of interest in the area represented. All have a living room, kitchen and all the equipment and air conditioning to make you feel at home.
In the common areas there is a living room and a swimming pool with a solarium to relax after your visits to the surroundings of the area or to other Andalusian towns.
In the landscape of Ardales several elements of singular charm are united. The Sierra de la Pizarra, covered by small pine forests. The spectacular Desfiladero de los Gaitanes and the Caminito del Rey, which reaches a height of up to 100 meters above the river. The Ruins of Bobastro, with its Mozarabic cave church excavated in rock. The castles of La Peña of Roman origin and the medieval castle of Turón. The Molina bridge that passes over the Turón river from Roman times. The Parque del Ardales that will show you the banks of the Conde del Guadalhorce reservoir surrounded by pine forests. The Doña Trinidad Grund Cave, is a protected cave that can be visited by appointment, it preserves cave paintings from 20,000 years BC. C, an important Neolithic site from 3,800 BC and several Chalcolithic burials from 2,700 BC.
The lands of Ardales have experienced the presence of man since prehistoric times. In the year 716 Alhur el Tagafi gave it the name of Ard-Allah, which means garden or land of God.
The town is located at the foot of a large rock where today there are remains of an old medieval fortress. We invite you to delve into its interesting history through its archaeological and cultural heritage, get lost in its landscapes, get to know its monuments and historic buildings, interact with its hospitable neighbors and be sure to try its delicious cuisine.
The Guadalteba Region is made up of the municipalities of Almargen, Ardales, Campillos, Cañete La Real, Carratraca, Cuevas del Becerro, Sierra de Yeguas and Teba.
These lands have been inhabited since ancient times. Among the most important crops in the area are olive trees, almond trees and cereals.
The diversity of the landscape is something that defines this area. The Sierra del Valle de Abdalajís, Sierra de Pizarra, Sierra de Aguas, Sierra de Baños, among others, rise up. Land of abundant water, are the reservoirs of Guadalhorce, Guadalteba and Conde del Guadalhorce. It is mainly crossed by the Turón and Guadalteba rivers, the latter which opens the way to the spectacular Garganta del Chorro.
It shares the Guadalhorce Valley with the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes (El Chorro) Natural Area.
Right next to the village of El Chorro is the Los Gaitanes Gorge, a special protection area for birds, where the famous Caminito del Rey is attached. The highest point is the Pico de la Huma with more than 1119 meters.
Another protected space in the region is the Lagunas de Campillos Nature Reserve.
In the Guadalteba region you can do water activities, mountain, paragliding, hang gliding, horse riding. Speleology in the Cueva de Ardales, in the Sima de los Baños or the Sima de los Murciélagos, both in Carratraca, and in Cañete La Real, which has more than twenty well-known chasms.
