This time I was put at the very back of the property which was an issue for my physical issues. I requested a room near a door to parking because I struggle with carrying my things. My room was located near 2 doors. One door, the closest, did not allow for any parking, let alone handicapped. The second door was in the middle of a very long hall. I had to carry my bags in through two doors and then find a long hall. In addition that the pool and breakfast amenities were at the front of the hotel and I was at the very back. I would argue I was as far away as I could possibly be from it. The refrigerator did not get cold which is not safe for food. I brought my lunch with me and it was warm when I went to eat it. I had to throw it out. I asked for a printed receipt and the man at the front desk told me I couldn’t have one because of the way I booked the room. This was completely illogical and seemed petty because during my last stay the front desk manager printed it without a question. I booked my room identically for both stays.

The staff in check in was barely able to speak to me, refusing to look up from his phone. There was a major altercation outside of the our room in the parking lot, which my children witnessed causing them to be fearful. The staff did nothing about it and refused to move our room. The building smelled like smoke and mildew. We were awake all night due to loud squeaking from people walking upstairs. Room 120 is inhabitable.

This hotel is very convenient to other stores (Walmart, restaurants and etc) not to far from the highway as well. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, anytime we needed anything front desk was very helpful. This will be my go to place to stay while my son is in College in Ohio.

Sorry to say but this was probably the worst hotel I have ever checked into. We ended up checking back out and went home. The poor front desk staff did not seem to know how to process a refund and it was not worth the hassle of trying. We just wanted to get home. The odor in the room was awful. Stale smoke and who knows what else. Even my two teenagers complained, and they have a very low bar for cleanliness. Expedia should drop this listing, and they have no business charging this price. Also it was just not a family friendly environment. I won’t put the details in writing.

I usually really enjoy my stay here. This time however there were: Roaches, ants and bugs everywhere. I saw blood on the bedding and at breakfast they served expired yogurt. I have dated here several times but the cleanliness has drastically declined. I think it’s time for a renovation. I spoke to the front desk they were apologetic.

Excellent Stay & Excellent Price
This property is older but it maintained very well, the pool and hot tub were very clean, safe and enjoyable. The room was spacious and clean, with down pillows and comforter. The bath space was very well organized and stocked with products. There was a full length mirror on the door and the shower had excellent pressure and very hot water. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The breakfast bar was superb. There were lots of selections, including offerings of proteins. I would definitely stay at this property again and will recommend it to others.

An excellent value in this college town
The great: Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and kind. Smiles all around. The good: our bedding and towels were clean and comfy. Breakfast was stocked and the variety was about what I expect for the price point. The pool was clean, a comfortable temperature, and the pool area is really beautiful for the price. The not-so-good: The sink basin in our room was cracked from something being dropped on it. And though the room smelled fine, the floors throughout and the toilet could use a deep clean. Sustainability note: This location still provides the tiny, single use plastic toiletries. It would be lovely to see refillable, mounted pumps instead.

We were directed to drive all the way behind the hotel and use the our room key to get in to the back doors. Room key wouldn’t work. Walked all the way to front of hotel and had room key reset so we could get in the back door if necessary. Husband had to go back to car after key reset and still couldn’t get in-walked all the way around again to get in…ridiculous.
