Booked a night at Crowne Plaza Midtown Atlanta for 1 night as we had tickets to a musical at The Fox Theater. Check-in started at 4pm. We arrived at 6pm and used valet parking (I’ll get back to this in a minute). After waiting for 25 minutes to check in, I was told that they had no rooms clean and I would have to wait. Was given 25-30 min time window for our room to be ready. After 7pm, we were told that our room still was not ready. We had to leave our luggage with the valet and change clothes in the hotel lobby restroom- which had no toilet paper, no paper towels and only 1 of the 3 stalls was in working order.
After arriving back to the hotel after 11:30pm we finally got into our room. No hand soap, no toiletries, mildew in the corners of the tub. Not what was expected from this type of hotel. Upon checking out the next morning, informed the front desk of the state of our room. They offered to refund my valet parking ($50 value) but then when valet went to get my car, I was informed that someone had busted out my back window of my vehicle. So after a police report and zero help/contact or information from valet or hotel, I am now doing all of the leg work to get my window fixed. I usually have decent service with IHG hotels (I’m not super picky, just be clean) but after this experience, I’ll stick with Marriott or Hilton from now on.
