Great location in Auckland

Our room overlooked the sky tower. Very quiet and room was very clean. Easy walk to the harbor.

Central location. 10 walk to the harbor. Valet car parking for a daily fee ($NZ55). Breakfast quality and selection was average (had better at other Rydges hotels). Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean, safe and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Pros: Great location, rooms are spacious, off the main road, so area is very quiet, valet parking, hotel accommodated to our late check out request. Cons: Buffet breakfast is mediocre, powdered scrambled eggs although they will do eggs to order they weren't how I requested. The view from the room was the wall of the building next door so litterally no view at all which is what you really want when your in the city for your anniversary.

The reception staff were friendly and efficient and our room was immaculate. Rydges is just a few minutes' walk from the bus station and in the heart of the city, everything is within walking distance. Construction work is ongoing opposite the building so some rooms might have noise disturbance but ours was not affected.
