Very artsy. Helpful staff. (The girls on night shift were particularly helpful and accommodating.) The rooms are very small but very clean and modern. It was kind of like tiny houses only tiny hotel living. Comfy bed and pillows. Convenient location for downtown access. If you are a minimalist than this is for you.

Fake eyelash and mushy berries
I found a fake eyelash (not mine!) on my towel, there was an obnoxious blinking blue light in the room all night, and I'm pretty sure that he nasty berries they served for breakfast this morning were leftovers from yesterday. Aside from those issues, it was fine.

The good news, the hotel was beautifully clean, the location was great, the pool was nice, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The bad news, the room is smaller than a cruise ship room, and the bathroom offers no privacy. Additionally, the creepy doll that comes with the room disrupted my sleep. The room did not reflect what is pictured on hotels.com. I feel like it was overpriced.

Rooms & hotel are perfect, but breakfast is a D-
I recently stayed at citizenM and was very impressed with the overall hotel. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The room was clean, modern, pretty and well-maintained, and the amenities provided were excellent. However, I was extremely disappointed with the breakfast offering. For the high price charged, the options were shockingly limited. Even budget hotels that offer complimentary breakfast provide a much wider variety of choices. It felt like a missed opportunity to match the excellent service in other areas. I would love to stay here again, but the breakfast experience is something the hotel should seriously reconsider. Expensive doesn’t always mean better, and I hope they improve this aspect in the future.

Citizen M offers an interesting euro minimalist design. They have a good breakfast. The coffee is excellent. I get good sleep in these rooms - they are quiet. I have also stayed at one in Miami. They are vary consistent in design, with the lobby being unique to each locations. But you can count on the cappuccino being consistent at each location. Also fancy the sparking water fountain at the bar.
