The front desk guy was amazing. But the room had a smell, the carpet can also use some cleaning. Overall for the price I wouldn't stay again. It seems like an old hotel that they tried to remodel.

The amount of homeless people around this hotel is shocking! We initially thought we would walk from the hotel to many of our destinations since they were only a 15-2min walk but after the first couple of days we quickly learned that was a bad idea. My wife was nearly mugged not 1 block from the hotel. Do not plan to walk in the evening. The patio and pool are a joke and not at all like they are pictured. The pool is tiny and the patio is small and runned down. There are much better options closer to central downtown than this hotel. Stay here at your own risk.

Really walkable to major areas in downtown. Staff could be a lot friendlier, they were kinda rude for no reason but other than that the actual property was great. Pool is tiny so if you’re looking to enjoy that you probably won’t.

Second time staying here and the staff was very accommodating and pleasant! Easy walk to UT. Convenient walk to get beer at the Valero. Breakfast was good and the attendant kept the dining area clean.

The location is good for access to UT or downtown. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Our room was right above a bar with loud music the night we arrived. On top of the music, our AC didn’t work. Granted it was November so not detrimental but uncomfortable. Oh and the carpet just kind of looked dirty…They did switch us and upgraded our room the next night which was a suite with a kitchen and bedroom. That room was really nice! No carpet! I would stay there again with my family if I stayed in the suite…

The hotel is surrounded by music venues and it pounds through the walls all around the hotel. If you don't want to sleep or have wildly interrupted sleep, this is the place for you! The staff attempted to move me to a new room but it wasn't proofed from the surrounding music venues. The only way this hotel will insulate itself from the loudness is to sound proof the walls, moving your guests around is simply not a solution. No refund for my issues was offered.
