This home is perfectly situated in a quieter, picturesque and low traffic area of Avalon. It's just a 15 minute walk from the ferry (while the hill is steep, I would not say it is strenuous if you're someone who considers yourself a walker, we made it easy with two roller bags and a 10 year old).
The amenities are incredible. We loved the hot tub and the golf cart and the great kitchen cookware. During our stay, we made all our meals at the home, the local Von's having a great selection of groceries. The hardline gas grill is a major plus!
My birthday trip was rainy (the hot tub is fab in the rain) but the mornings were all glorious crisp sunshine. I highly suggest you begin your day early before the crowds arrive by 9am, enjoy a long walk or a ride to explore.
I slept so well, absolute quiet. I really enjoyed my stay, Netflix and chilled (darn weather) and had a wonderful respite. I should add, I have been to the island several time. I have previously done the adventures, zip line, kayaking, even camping. This was a birthday trip and I feel absolutely refreshed.
TIPS! Bring cash to the island, save your self some fees. Sunscreen! Even with the rain, the sun is brutal and left mine at home. $20 a pop for a bottle.
