Good breakfast and all inclusive rate , friendly staff.
Exit traffic lights slow , dated bathroom and carpets.
Needs refreshing in areas. Outside wood needs replacing.

Great stay, super friendly staff. Food is fabulous, bar area is nice. Our standard room was on the small side and in need of modernisation, however I understand times are hard and this is costly and there is alot of competition out there. Still would return here though. Would recommend.
Room needs doing up which I stayed in for the price you are paying I expected better facilities also the parking charge is wrong when you are staying In the hotel it should be free for the price of the room

There were a lot of road work lorries even at 4 on Sunday.
Not the hotel’s fault but with it being so hot I had the window open.

Not quite as described, issues for disabled people as blue badge parking is the furthest from the entrance and the 2 bays are not monitored. Room was ok (same as a travelodge) but to have a maid service was quoted at £25 though we were not charged, perhaps because we didn’t ask for the service and they forgot the towels anyway.
Check in was a self check in system which was easy and reception was present if any help was needed.
Room was clean and spacious
Food was good with plenty of choice
Plenty of parking
Only downfall was there is no aircon but a fan was available in the room, only an issue as it was in 30 at time of stay.
Room so hot and window didnt open

The staff were welcoming and friendly but the room could have been cleaner and better equipped.
Very dusty skirtings and the carpet behind the bed table thick with dust. Only one bed side table in the room so no where to put a book or glass of water beside the bed.
The shower curtain was old and stained, definitely needed replacing.
We also had a child in a nearby room constantly slamming a door at ten o'clock at night having to be told by another guest to stop doing it as the parents ignored him.

I didn’t like the self checkin when we arrived!! We had a very long journey & we were tired & found the self checkin stressful!!? The receptionist was very helpful but she could have done it herself much quicker! Then I wasn’t happy that they wanted card details scanned’ incase of breakages or extras!’ We had already paid for room & breakfast! Then we were on 2nd floor & no lift!!!😱my fault for not checking , but I saw they had 53 rooms so assumed a lift?! Breakfast & staff were lovely, & lovely comfortable bed great quilt, hot room! But they supplied a fan,x
We imagine that at one time in the past, it would have been a very gracious hotel. A lovely buidling, carefully extended.
The modernisation, done obviously very cheaply has stripped it of its charm. The public areas looked grubby( very soiled carpets) overall, it COULD, be a superb hotel. Sad.

Business trip stopover.
Hotel is need of an internal update/refurb. However, the rooms were clean but tired. Staff were friendly and helpful and I was offered a full complimentary breakfast FOC.
Upon arrival there was broken glass all outside, they had a function the night before the place was trashed. Our room was suppose to be non smoking and it was clear guests were smoking in there. The whole hotel smelt of cigarette smoke. The guest there were drunk at 4pm and sleeping in the bar area. We checked in, then checked straight back out again! Awaiting a refund. Felt sorry for the staff as they were pleasant. We had to find another hotel and pay again. Not a great experience and wouldn’t even consider staying there, ever.
