Nice hotel in the lovely village of Bad Bergzabern

Pros: The location is good and the hotel restaurant is good. The breakfast is excellent.
Location: Lots of walks and great indoor/outdoor pool in village. Close to various castles and various historical sites. It’s very close to France for visits.
We like this hotel which backs on to a park area which leads to the village and a great swimming pool.

Die Unterkunft ist toll gelegen, neben einem Park und sehr zentrale Ausgangspunkt für tolle Wanderungen, Weingüter, etc. Die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen, Waschbecken hatte bspw. einen grossen Riss, Möbel waren alt, aber zweckmässig. Die Betten waren ok. Negativ aufgefallen ist der Zimmerservice: Lediglich das Bett schien anders gemacht worden zu sein als wir es gemacht hatten, jedoch weit entfernt von professionell. Die Mülleimer waren nicht geleert, leere Flaschen nicht entsorgt, benutzte Wassergläser nicht frisch oder ausgespült, nicht gesaugt oder sonstiges. Das ist insbesondere nicht akzeptabel, da wir 15 Euro pro Nacht für die Mitnahme eines Hundes bezahlt haben. Rezeption schien gestresst zu sein. Einfache Anfragen wurden recht unfreundlich beantwortet. Das lag ggf daran, dass sie wohl auch für das Restaurant oder zumindest die Bar zuständig war. Insgesamt für den Preis ok, hätte aber viel mehr Potential.

Der Check- In am späten Abend lief reibungslos. Das Zimmer war nur teilweise sauber, sehr hellhörig und zur Hauptstrasse mit entsprechender Lautstärke ausgerichtet. Zudem fanden sich die Müllcontainer direkt vor dem Balkon. Diese wurden ab 07:30 Uhr lautstark vom Personal befüllt und versüßten den Aufenthalt mit ihrem Geruch. Die Öffnung der Zimmerfenster war somit nur eingeschränkt möglich. Frühstück war bereits 08:30 Uhr weitgehend geleert und wurde nur spärlich nachgereicht, trotz Frühstückszeit bis 10 Uhr. Das Frühstücksangebot bestand großteils aus Fertigprodukten. Das Personal stand währenddessen draußen und rauchte. Wir würden es nicht nochmal buchen.
