We stayed in the main lodge which is nicely updated but has a hint of mid century modern with great views of the water. Hiking trails on the property are a bonus. Excellent breakfast!

Everything about this place was fantastic but one thing (I'll get to that at the end). -You can't beat the location. Our lodge was right on the water, and we could see it right outside the room. At night if it got windy, i could open the screen door and hear the waves at night. Better than any noise machine or peaceful music. -The staff was super friendly and helpful. They greet you with a smile and have that typical midwest hospitality. -Free bike and canoe rentals -4 miles of trails to take said bike rental, and an entire bay to canoe on. -Only bad thing was the resturaunt. They sell themsleves as a fancy resturaunt, but the food was mediocre and the service was terrible. Other than that, I'd definitely come again! :D

Nice place away from busy tourist area
We had a great time. Plus: a little ways away from the hustle and bustle, beautiful trails and waterfront area, great breakfast, our unit had mini kitchen so we could save $$ and have pizza in room. Negative: had a downstairs unit and either people above us were stomping (which I doubt) or there is poor sound insulation between floors. We went off season and it was great. I'd be more concerned during peak on if the place gets crowded. It's like a mini resort with apartments and cabins spread throughout

I highly highly recommend Gordon lodge for your stay in door county! Beautiful property, right on Lake Michigan! We stayed in our own little cottage which was so cozy, cute and clean. They have a restaurant on site which had awesome food and they provide free breakfast!! We will be back.
