I stayed at the best western 10/28 - 10/31. It was just me, my 6 month old daughter and my service animal which I have due to me having epilepsy. I actually have medical papers for this animal. I was staying there due to me fleeing from an abusive relationship that almost cost me my life. The first night on the property I stayed in room 326, it was extremely cold so I turned on the heat. Immediately black smoke begin to come from the unit and a burning smell filled the air. The smoke detector begin to ring and my baby begin to cry. I turned it off and attempted to call the front desk but the phone did not work in the room. I waited until my friend arrived who went back to the front desk and explained to them that the heat was not working. The associate checked the unit seen we were telling the truth and moved me to room 306. On 10/30 while waiting outside of the property I was approached by an associate who advised me that I was not able to stay at the property any longer due to me having an animal. I explained to them my situation and even offered to show them my papers but they refused and called the police to have me removed. I asked them for a refund so that I could get me and my baby into another hotel but the refused and told me I violated the contract with the animal and no refund will be granted. Worse experience ever, they will be hearing from my lawyer. You can’t treat people this way.

The guy that checked me in was very nice. I had called earlier and he was also very knowledgable on the phone. I went down to breakfast and the woman helping with breakfast was very courteous and kind. Going to keep this hotel on my roster when i visit again.

The area looks rough but the rooms were nice. Beds were firm (I liked, great night sleep). A little noisy with traffic but nothing that I couldn’t sleep through. Clean bathroom. Breakfast looked nice and plentiful. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
