This hotel is right in the thick of it on Via Laietana, surrounded by great restaurants, fantastic shopping, a minute's walk to the metro, 5 mins to the cathedral, 15 mins to the seafront, and backs onto a section from the old Roman Wall. Staff were fantastic, room comfortable and we couldn't have hoped for a better experience.

Near a metro stop Jaume I and also close to Las Ramblas and Barrio Gotic. Breakfast is very good and there is water with lemons and oranges in it. Whole apples and newspapers are complimentary.

Noisiest Room I have ever staid in

Pros: Loation
Cons: Soundproofing, comfortable beds and pillows
It was so noisy, it felt a though I was sleeping on the side of a Motorway. Added to the noise, the bed was so hard, it could have been made of concrete and the pillows were not much better on the comfort scale. Never again.

Barcelona Stay - July 2015

Pleasant and helpful staff. Check in was easy and friendly. Room was good and great for overnight stay. Check out simple again with friendly and helpful staff. Offer of assistance was provide. Good experience.

perfectly sited

the hotel EXE Laietana Palace Hotel is situated perfectly for all the major areas of interest in the city. it sits on the edge of the gothic, el born and barcelonette, and just a short walk from the Ramblas. there are a bewildering selection of excellent restaurants, tapas and pintxos bars with in a short walk. Both The Cathedral and the Sancta Maria are close by as is the wonderful market place which we found ideal for a late breakfast. would recommend a trip on the touristic buses to get your bearings, but it is really easy to get around and find your way. Our room , a small double, was comfortable with an excellent bathroom. it was a little too warm for my liking even in February and opening the window wasnt really an option due to the noise of the traffic, but this was not a serious problem. all in all we greatly enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Amazing stay

The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great location 2 minutes from the seafront and the port, and located in the Gothic area has some stunning architecture. Our room was perfect with comfy beds a beatiful bathroom which was spotlessly clean. I would recommend this hotel, much better than i expected.

staff cared for us

We arrived late and had a comfortable room but next to a lift shaft which kept us awake all night - then we had a plumbing nightmare the next night in a change of room in the great flood of 2012. Sounds bad but the hotel did their very best to try and sort things out and did really well! a very good hotel and despite the problems would recommend as they did everything they could in very difficult circumstances

Good location for strolls around the city

The hotel has a very good location in the centre of Barcelona, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was kept clean and towels changed every day . The air con has just a switch on and off not a control device to adjust temperature. The TV remote control doesn't work properly it is actually not suitable for the TV set. The WiFi internet was missing all the time.

Optimal choice

Hotel is located perfectly in Barcelona - right in the center of city, close to the restaurants, cafe, shops, metro. Nice and good value for money.
