Great location close to the beach but still relatively quiet. Friendly dining options within easy walking distance. Food options in the bar also good for late night snacks. Coffee provision in the room was excellent too with the Nespresso machine.

This hotel was amazing, the rooftop pool area was great and the facilities. Staff were really friendly and local area was great, a bit quieter than central Barcelona and the beach was beautiful! Only negative was probably the bathroom in the room needed upgrading but apart from that the room was exactly as described. Would definitely visit again!!

The staff were very helpful and made our stay lovely. As first time visitors to Barcelona, the staff helped guide us to what we should do and the best food and drinks to try. The room was spacious and had a great view and walking distance from the beach. Would definitely come back to Occidental Attenea Mar

This is a 'smaller' hotel. Very clean. Excellent helpful staff. Very good breakfast and nice size dining room (was often full and felt that way, but not overcrowded). Breakfast staff (for a buffet) quick and attentive. Tapas at the bar at nighttime was also very good. Very much enjoyed the water (or Cava) at reception after a long day. A few blocks from the Metro. Right at the beach. A nice walk to some very good restaurants (Mobilas de Poblenou) [hope I spelt that right!]. Road out front is a bit busy, but the windows block out all sounds. At night, road is less busy and easy to leave the windows open for fresh air (rather than A/C). Close to the convention centre if you are coming for a conference. No complaints!!

We recently traveled to Barcelona and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! The location was unbeatable—right on the seafront, with stunning views that made every morning feel special. Plus, it was just a short walk from the sports center where the BJJ tournament took place, making it incredibly convenient for us. The hotel itself was comfortable, with a welcoming vibe and everything we needed for a great stay. Whether we were enjoying a relaxing moment by the beach or gearing up for the competition, this place was the perfect home base. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for the best of both worlds in Barcelona—beachfront relaxation and easy access to the action!
