Javi at the front desk was super helpful. We had to send an extra day while we waited for our cruise ship and he booked us a wonderful day trip to Girodona and Costa Brava.

Visited in October. Wonderful stay - clean, modern, walkable to many restaurants and close to sightseeing. We weren’t far from the cruise port - just a quick taxi. The rooftop bar is amazing! The breakfast buffet exceptional! Stayed out until 8-9pm and felt safe.The staff were very professional and had excellent customer service and were multilingual. Can also exchange money at front desk.There is a restaurant in the hotel, but we ate out. Will certainly be back.

We enjoyed the stay at Ohla Hotel at Via Laietana area. Everything is great and breakfast buffet is a plus with great varieties and super service. I asked for capers for my vegan omelets, they explained the Spanish version of capers eg larger with tiny stalk and they were very delicious to slice them and eat with the omelets etc. Great front desk services and great supports. Only thing it’s we traveled with another couple and they received a free upgrade for a night stay and we stayed more nights and unfortunately there was no upgrade for us. Little disappointed and I think it’s important to book directly through the hotel than booking at Expedia.com to receive free upgrade. Overall wonderful stay and there is a supermarket across the hotel. Easily accessible to various tourists spots and transportation. Will highly recommend this place!

VERY attentive staff. Great restaurant and nice decor. The bed was harder than I like and the pillows were not up to par but this is usually the case in Spain. The TV has phone casting so that was awesome. Close walk to all the shops.

I am really surprised at all the glowing reviews. This was a very average hotel. For the price we paid, this hotel was not worth it. I felt this property is overhyped. Rooms are small, lobby is very small. And this property gives preference to those that book direct on their website discriminating against those that use travel websites. They upgraded my friend who booked direct but did not upgrade us.

I loved that certain staff members such as their experience department and the bellhop went above and beyond to make my stay special, enjoyable and memorable. Their service in particular was excellent. What I didn’t like was the limited seating for breakfast buffet in the morning, where we had to wait for a table to open up. It felt like I was going to dinner at a restaurant. Other hotels have bigger dining areas for breakfast buffet, which makes it easy to come in the morning to sit anywhere and eat breakfast without feeling rushed due to time limitation.

Barcelona Gem with Service Flaws
The location is absolutely outstanding if you are there as a tourist. It is close to everything and easily accessible. The room and other common area facilities were immaculate and very nicely designed. We had booked a deluxe junior suite, which matched the description and pictures exactly. This was all excellent. The problems we experienced were all with the service-we had to call each day late in the afternoon to get housekeeping to come in. That was very curious. Our first morning, we greeted the housekeeping person on our way out and she was coming out of the room next door. Nine hours later, no one had come to clean the room and it was 5:30pm in the afternoon. When I called the front desk they informed me that cleaning hours were 9am to 5pm-well, they had that entire time period open to them but had elected not to come. Each day was like this for housekeeping. There is also an Experience Team, who reached out to us the day before we left home inquiring about preferences for our room set up. That was a nice touch, but we had made the booking months in advance. In any case, we turned the preference request right away, but because of the short lead time, they were unable to translate that into any of preferences we had elected. In the end, they spent more time writing apology notes than actually doing the work. The service at this hotel was extremely poor, which should be easy to remedy. Given the location and the excellent facilities, this could become a great place.
