Very disapointing
This hotel try to give you the minimum.The room have old furnitures and a 9" vacum tube TV.The breakfast buffet is the worst I ever had.The second day even the cheese and salami of the first day did not exist.Stay away!!!

This hotel was across the street from the convention center. Staff was polite and very helpful. Great service. This hotel was very clean and well maintained.

This hotel is soon to close and there is a sign in reception apologizing that there will no longer be any investment in the hotel. While this is understandable, it certainly has the feel of a place that hasn't seen any real investment for a while. Clean and quiet, but rather dated and nothing else, really, to recommend it.

The reception staff in the hotel were first class and couldn't have been more helpful. The room was basic but the beds were very comfortable, there was ample room in the wardrode and a safe. The breakfast was good, albeit only a cold continental breakfast but it was plentiful and whilst it was self service, the staff were very helpful and continually topped up fruit juice and offered hot drinks. The free travel pass for the very efficient tram system was a great bonus and we used it every day. Overall, there will be better standard hotels in Basel, but for value for money, comfort and service, I would definately recommend this hotel, and if in Basel again, I would return to the hotel.

Muenchnerhof Swiss Q hotel in Basel
The staff was great and the location was excellent for my business trip. The bed was very uncomfortable. 1 super large pillow and a thin blanket was not what I was expecting. Very, very noisy from the train station across the street.

Excellent value
We were in Basel when they were having record heat and the room was not air conditioned. That explains the 3 for comfort. I debated givng the 4 for the neighborhood for there is nothing wrong with the neighborhood. Public transportation is free and you are 5 minutes from most museums. A Tram comes every few minutes. The Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

out of the main city centre but with free tram provided this was not an issue good clean hotel - lots of street noise as is on a big main street alongside many other hotels and restaurants so you may need ear plugs

The hotel is centrally located and closed to everything. The staff was extremely helpful. We stayed at a very spacious and comfortable. room Breakfast was plentiful. The restaurant manager was very friendly and welcoming.

Absolutely fantastic small hotel. Run by great friendly staff. Conveniently located. Excellent value and a restaurant with a god choice and at reasonable prices. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Basel.

Convenient location by tram yet quiet area
We stayed at the Muenchnerhof Swiss Q to enjoy the Christmas markets....there were three in Basel. We could see one from our hotel window, the other two were easily accessible by tram. The staff was very friendly, breakfasts were wonderful, clean, quiet rooms. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Muenchnerhof!

I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was larger than expected and the service was excellent. Even though there were no kettles in the room to make tea the staff provided us with hot water when we requested it. I'd definitely stay there again. It was also centrally located.

Great location and cleanliness for price
Basel is expensive, and I found this to be a convenient and cozy place for the price. The room and bathroom were immaculate. The breakfast was good, not great. There was an easy computer to use in the lobby, but I wish that they had wi-fi for guest use. Location was convenient to the Messaplatz trams, and walkable to the river.

Great hotel and close to the old city
Great location, next to the Swisshotel and convention center, easy 10 minute walk to the old city area across the bridge. A very quiet hotel, comfortable rooms. Great hosts, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was very nice. We would come back there again the next time we are in Basel.

What a find
Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel is within steps of the tram. We would definitely stay there again.

Don't get fooled by the name
The hotel is very small, simple and uncomfortable. It was a cheesy trick to name it Swiss Hotel Q since loads of hotels in Switzerland get this award in different levels.

An old building in structure, but modernised rooms
A quiet and comfortable stay, despite being just across the busy road from the Messe Centre. First class breakfast and most accommodating and helpful management. Unhappily the building with all its neighbours is to be demolished for redevelopment in September 2014. Use it while it is there!

Hotel is going to be destroyed in September 2013
As the hotel is going to be closed and destroyed, the service and equipment of rooms is horrible. Old furniture, cold room, no possibility to increase temperature, no good service (the guy in the reception didnt know ANYTHING regarding hotel or the services they proclaimed they provide...)
