Loved the hotel, restaurant staff was excellent, front desk was not attentive and prompt when asked to deliver to our room. Had my credit card cancelled due to the service rep running my card three two being fraudulent charges. I had to bring to their attention and then got an apology. The room appears to be hardly used, some lighting on the back porch appears to out of service. Over all a wonderful hotel to stay away from the city to get some rest and relaxation.

Perfect get away !

The hotel is beautiful, our room was amazing and clean. Super comfortable bed. Plenty of space. The staff at this hotel are all nice and friendly , and if you are lucky at check in you will get Blondell. She greats you like you are old friends and makes you feel so welcome. Would definitely recommend staying here for couples or families . Full kitchen in the room as well made out stay even better .

Sizeable, clean, comfortable, air-conditioned room with a king sized bed and many amenities tucked away between a gorgeous pool and an employee workstation (all of whom were polite and professional). First of all, the staff were friendly and accommodating. In terms of cleanliness, the main areas of the kitchen and bathroom were cleaned well. However, most of the other areas such as lampshades were full of dust and around the patio door were grubby. The balconies could be spruced up too and the outside furniture should be cleaned regularly. The entry door to the rooms were grubby and dented which isn't a nice welcoming to a hotel; first impressions and all that! The hotel WASN'T as described and there was no entertainment in the evening especially during the festive period; it was DEAD! I was unhappy with my first room as its appearance was not up to good standard with damaged furniture and cleaning issues. I was given a key card to a dirty, grubby and dented hotel room! I asked Expedia to move me to a different hotel which they declined. The second room fared a little better. The hotel is in a good location with a supermarket opposite (their alcohol prices are quite reasonable) and neighbouring restaurants. The beach is about a 15 - 20 minute walk. To sum up, this hotel needs MAJOR investment and requires renovation as it's dated and simply not up to par. The reception looks tired and the desk/bar could do with a good clean. It has potential but that's up to the hotel owners to make that change. I discussed all the above matters with one of the hotel managers.

I rented a 'room' for 2 weeks. It was in effect a 1 Bedroom apartment, complete with sufficiently equipped kitchen, a safe, 2 tv's (which i didn't need), Air conditioned, 2 balconies (1 from the bedroom, 1 from the living room, great for reading on a rainy day), all at a much better nightly rate than the Marriott resort across the street. The location is perfect (in Frigate Bay area): * 5 minute walk across the street to the Atlantic side beach and 15 minute walk to the 'Strip' beach on the Caribbean side. * Taxi stand just down the street (less than 5 min walk) or the hotel calls a cab for you (great on departure day). * The Rams grocery store located in the complex right in front of the hotel has all the basics in produce, dry goods, etc. including cooking ingredients if you need. A lot of the common 'northern' items are available (e.g. i ate the same peanut butter i buy in chicagolan). It's on the pricy side generally but consider that a lot of the merchandise has to be imported, probably in limited quantities. The pool was great. Large enough so as to never be crowded. Plenty of chaises to lounge, with some in the shade when you've had enough sun for the day. They only thing i would point out for improvement is more frequent check and resupply on towels. Best of all, the staff was super friendly at all contact points during my stay. My vacation goal was to unplug and the Royal St. Kitts Hotel was the perfect place to do so. Makes me want to come back.

Struggling hotel with no water in evening

Struggling hotel that lacks water in evening. It’s a shame that this hotel is struggling compared to the Marriott across the street — it has major deficiencies despite the avg. room rates being roughly the same compared to Marriott. Check-in was okay and the front desk staff did mention water may be reduced, but did not explain fully what that meant. The room we booked was sizable and had a kitchen you could cook in, but strongly smelled of mildew and had an excessively loud AC unit. At 7:30pm, the water pressure started to slow and was completely out by 8:30pm. It didn’t turn back on until 5am, making it impossible to flush toilets. The hotel states this is due to government water restriction , but will not provide water to flush toilets. When talking to the security guard, he mentioned this is largely the hotel’s fault — they “won’t build extra cisterns and shunt some of the water to the golf course.” He mentioned the Mariott across the street has its own water source, and said that might be a better option. Overall, disappointing hotel — it obviously needs a total makeover. The gym is decent, but the breakfast was poor quality. We wound up having to check out early and were dramatically happier at the Marriott.
