We had a mixed stay. Overall the hotel was well decorated with interesting and cosy lounge areas. The walk to the top was tough but a bus of taxi would take no time. Check in time at 4pm felt quite late but we could leave our bags and hang out in the lounge area. Room itself was mostly clean and our request for a cot was accommodated. However we were put in a room where the windows were so high you couldn’t open them and the aircon meant we ended up with dry throats. It was so stuffy without it so it was a catch 22. Wasn’t the comfortable stay we were hoping for. Not sure anyone would be comfortable in that setting and seems a health and safety risk not being able to open windows. Young man who checked us in was friendly, but overall staff weren’t that welcoming. We also were on the second floor which was accessible with a lift which is great when you’ve got a pram but then we had to go up and down a number of stairs to get to the room from the lift which made it completely inaccessible. Surely knowing we have a pram and have requested a cot, a room close to the lift would have been more accessible.
