No A/C!

No A/C! It was 80 degrees and couldn’t sleep. My wife and I had to leave and go to another hotel the other nights. We tried opening the balcony window to let some cool air in but bugs got inside. They lied on their hotels.com listing and also on their website. All they have is a heater! On top of that… no curtains at all in the windows so get ready to wake up as soon as the sun rises! Hotel front desk told us that most hotels in Italy have either a heater or AC but not both. Lies because the other 3 hotels we stayed in had both. Did not offer refund for the night we never stayed and no discount… nothing. Hotels.com also didn’t offer much help. Just $95 of my $660 spent. If you go in winter the hotel should be fine. A little secluded from everything but overall hotel is very clean. Breakfast was ok. More of a budget hotel way cheaper than varenna but I recommend spending a little more and staying in one of the major towns.
