Great hosts. People were wonderful. Breakfast was continental, but excellent. Nice mattress. Basic structure of the room was updated, but the room structure was poor. Ceiling height is 7' with old cheap ceiling cover. Old door with poor security, outdated key lock. Deadbolt could easily be kicked in through old wood frame. Shower was small and cheap, although the shower head was nice. Curtains were mismatched, old, flimsy, and did not cover the ground floor windows well from the sidewalk immediately outside. Just felt a little creepy.

Very much enjoyed the retro, vintage decor and feel of this charming motel. Having breakfast in the garage with fellow guests and Heath was truly a treat!

Pleasant motel to stay in.
The room was lovely, but my husband found the mattress too soft and didn’t sleep well. I thought it was perfect but the pillows were too hard. The owner was so helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. Breakfast was just right with a nice country flair. The grounds were enjoyable to take a stroll. We enjoyed our stay there.

I had booked the place for my Aunts as they were up in the area to attend my daughters wedding. They helped provide transportation via an excellent taxi service .The car service went above and beyond for my Aunts. My Aunts loved the breakfast and every moment of there stay at Hardwood Hill Motel Definitely recommend

Quiet, clean room, lousy bed
Quick, friendly check in. Room was clean. However, it smelled strongly of their fragranced cleaners. It really choked us up and brought on coughing fits for both of us. Had to open the door and turn the AC fan on high to get rid of the excess fragrance smell. The pillows were flat. One side of the bed was extremely broken down. I actually laid in a deep indentation on my side of the bed.

Unexpected Gem
Charmingly renovated motel rooms. Beautiful color choices. Loved the landscaping, loads of interesting flowers. Wish we could have stayed longer!
